ABSTRACT
More and more OEM’s are driving to higher level of outsourcing and are focussing on their core competencies. The trend is that EMS companies are taking more risks and are acting as a virtual department/supplier of the OEM. Open innovations play a big part in this as the complexity is increasing and no supplier can have all the solutions by himself. QDC are a given and availability of products is key as total working capital needs be minimized.
How can Benchmark contribute to this and how are we positioned to drive this success? It is key to take away the cares of the customer as the world is getting smaller by technology improvements and expectations increase.
